After some time, worms are going to multiply and their quantity will adapt itself to the volume of waste to be treated.
When the first module is filled, placed the following one over and continued in the same way to feed.
Detecting of the food, Eisenia is going to rise towards the upper module in passing through holes situated at the bottom of every basket.
Worms will leave the bottom module, in which the waste will have been transformed partially or totally in lombricompost.
The third module will be set up when the second module will be full.
When this third module will be full, you can proceed to the harvest of the lombricompost of the first module.
This lombricompost will be used for your plants and in your garden (to see chapter " The lombricompost ").
This module at the moment empty will be placed on the top of the Eco-Worms and will become in his turn the upper basket.
The rotation of modules or sieve will then be started.
Every week, verified the presence of worms tea in the collection tub, the sign of good functioning of the ECO-WORMS.
The worms’ tea will be harvested with the measuring glass specially developed for this usage and supplied with your ECO-WORMS. This one can be stored in bottles.
The worms’ tea can be used as liquid fertilizer for plants (see chapter "the worms’ tea ").
Every month clean the decanter and the collection tub by passing them under warm water.
During the maintenance, you can use the cover back to front to put modules.
According to the need of families, additional modules can be supplied to you in option.

Barks of citrus fruits can be added to the eisenia, but by small quantities, because they are acid.
Potatoes’peels, unless being finely cut, will set a lot of time to decompose because of the starch contained in these. They can even germinate!
Dairy products, as cheese’s croutes, can be placed in the ECO-WORMS, in particular if they are mouldy.

The balance nitrogenous material/carbon material is indispensable to the ECO-WORMS good functioning.
Approximately 60 % of nitrogenous material (organic waste) for 40 % of carbon material (paper, cardboard) is needed.
Give your waste in small pieces.
Put a little litter under and on the food to avoid the installation of midges, to favor the air circulation, for the bacteria which work with worms and finally to preserve the humidity.
If the litter seems to you dry, moisten it with an atomizer.
And last precision, you can go on holidays!!!!!!!!!

PROBLEMS AND REMEDIES

Smell of decomposition
There is too much food / worms are not enough many.
Decrease the contribution of food or get yourself more worms.

Smell of ammonia
There are too many materials rich in nitrogen (Vegetable and fresh substances)
Balance the system by adding carbon rich materials (paper Newspaper, dead leaves, dried straw, etc.).

Smell of sulfur
The litter is filled with water it misses ff air at the bottom of the ECO-WORMS
Add some ripped dry newspaper sheets or dead leaves mix them in the litter. Half-open the cover of the ECO-WORMS and decrease the supply for a while.

Worms climb on the side of ECO-WORMS
The litter is too wet.

Midges

The litter is too acid.
Add dried shells of egg reduced in powder

The conditions in the litter are unfit for the worms activity.
Harvest the vermicompost and restart with a fresh litter and 500 grams of worms.

Food exposed outdoors attract flies (fruits and sweet waste) and allows them to lay their eggs
Always cover residues with carbon materials (pieces of papers or cardboards). If the  contamination is important cover with a layer of 1 cm of compost or peat.
